A(ugusta) Baker’s Dozen starts today!
For those who don’t know, A(ugusta) Baker’s Dozen is a storytelling festival that features a lecture by a prominent children’s book author and a gaggle of storytellers spinning their favorite yarns. This year, the writer and illustrator Bryan Collier will be the guest of honor; Collier wrote books such as Uptown, Visiting Langston, and Freedom River, and has won awards for his illustrations as well.
